PEMBENTUKAN KELOMPOK BELAJAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI ANAK SD DAN SMP DI LINGKUNGAN RUMAH

Abstract

This program aims to improve the academic achievement of elementary and junior high school students in Pematang Siantar City through the formation of structured and sustainable study groups. Many students struggle to understand their lessons at school due to a lack of tutoring at home. This program runs for six weeks, twice a week, and involves four teachers providing direct tutoring. Methods include interactive discussions, practice exercises, and educational games tailored to the school curriculum. The learning material focuses on core subjects such as Mathematics, Indonesian, Science, and other subjects. Evaluation results indicate an increase in participants' understanding and motivation to learn. Furthermore, the program successfully fosters camaraderie among the children and raises parental awareness of the importance of tutoring outside of school. This program is expected to become a practical and easily implemented alternative learning model in other urban areas facing similar challenges.
